Some of these make sense, like the Painting Guardians who are just defending Ariamis, and the Silver Knights who have gone hollow(?), but a lot of questions remain. There's a lot of good examples, so I'll be somewhat chronological. I'm referring to some of the enemies in Lordran, who you have to fight for no real reason.
